Boarding Scholarships

Boarding Scholarships

For high achieving boarding students

MLC offers two outstanding boarding scholarships in Melbourne for students in secondary school: the Boarding All-Rounder Scholarship and the Principal’s Boarding Scholarship.

Boarders reside at our renowned on-campus boarding house, Tiddeman House, and come from all over Australia and the globe to take advantage of our extraordinary academic, co-curricular and wellbeing opportunities.

Boarding scholarship applicants will need to demonstrate their concern for the broader community, have a wide range of interests and talents, a commitment to academic studies and an ability and commitment to contributing as a member of the MLC community.

The successful recipient will be expected to engage and involve themselves in the life of the Boarding House, including closed weekends, excursions, incursions and weekend activities. In all areas of boarding and school life, a scholarship holder must be a positive role model and demonstrate she fully supports the ethos and values of the College.

The Principal’s Scholarship (Boarding) is awarded by the Principal to a boarding student who reflects the MLC values of Engage with Respect, Aspire with Responsibility, Act with Compassion and Explore with Courage.

MLC also offers the Principal's Indigenous Boarding Scholarship.
