A classic tale set in 1930s New York City, MLC is delighted to present their Junior School Musical for 2018, ‘Annie Junior’.

Adapted from the Tony Award-winning musical especially for school performers, Annie Junior tells the story of the famous redhead orphan, determined to find the parents who abandoned her on the doorstep of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage before meeting billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

The production features iconic songs such as ‘Tomorrow’, ‘It’s a Hard Knock Life’ and ‘You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile’.

The musical will be performed by 87 students from Year 6, who have been busy rehearsing since May. Some students will also be assisting with backstage and technical requirements. With a strong musical emphasis within the Junior School curriculum, this will no doubt be a performance that will delight adults and children alike!

We are also delighted to share the artwork painted by Elizabeth Liu in 6K:
