Australia Day Honours

Old Collegians Honoured

We warmly congratulate Judith Schiff OAM (Reichman 1954) and Anne Congleton PSM (1978) on their recognition in the 2026 Australia Day Honours. Their achievements reflect decades of leadership, service and impact, and we are proud to celebrate the remarkable contributions each has made to their communities.

Judith Schiff OAM (Herman 1954)

Judi was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her remarkable service to the Jewish community. Her contribution spans decades of leadership, education, advocacy and cultural work, alongside a distinguished professional career in the arts as a photographer and former Executive Director of the Print Council of Australia. A truly inspiring legacy.

Anne Congleton PSM (1978)

Anne received the Public Service Medal for her outstanding contribution to improving outcomes for vulnerable Victorians. Across more than four decades, she has led major reforms across disability, housing, homelessness and children and families, and has been a strong advocate for culturally safe, communitycentred services. Her long partnership with First Nations communities, including her role in advancing selfdetermination and supporting culturally safe services for Aboriginal children and families, has strengthened systems and deepened community impact. A remarkable legacy of compassion and purpose.

They join an esteemed group of Old Collegians who have been recognised in Australia Day, and Queen’s and King’s Birthday honours since 1980. A full list of recipients can be viewed here.
