Help Discover Old Collegians who Served in World War II

One of the greatest and most rewarding parts of working in the Archives is ensuring we research, capture and document important aspects of MLC’s history and the people that make that history special.  In 2014–15, during the centenary of World War I, MLC conducted extensive research to identify Old Collegians who had served during that conflict We are now looking forward to commencing the same work for our World War II nurses and medicos.

This large research project requires 6000 MLC records to be checked against war records. If you would like to help us and volunteer to be part of this project, you will need:

  • to have access to a private computer with internet
  • to be able to work with an Excel spreadsheet or printed list of names
  • to be happy doing repetitive work
  • to have good attention to detail.

You will also need to attend a mandatory afternoon tea and training session, where Stacey will welcome you into the group of volunteers and provide an overview on what is required to conduct the work. The date and time of this session is yet to be confirmed, but it will be towards the end of January 2026.
