After qualifying into the finals and finishing fifth in her debut Olympic Games, we are so proud of not only her amazing sporting feats but the ongoing dedication and professionalism she's shown, from training at Marshmead to doing her homework between competitions - an inspiration.
The time difference didn't dampen the excitement of the College community, with over 150 students and staff coming to school at 5am (including on a Sunday!) to watch and cheer Indra on in her events, fitted out in green and gold.
The MLC connections didn't end there; gold medalist aerial skiier Alisa Camplin-Warner (1992) was Australia's Chef de Mission, the first female for Australia's Winter Olympics team. Fellow gold medalist aerial skiier Lydia Lassila (1999) was also commentating on Channel 9. Both are incredible role models with an extraordinary legacy in Australian sport.
At only 16, she joins 19 other MLC Old Collegians who have competed at Olympic Games (summer and winter). We know she has a huge future in front of her and look forward to following her journey.
We welcome Indra back to MLC in Term 2!
