Shape her future through education

We are proud to launch our Annual Giving Appeal for 2026.

At MLC, we see every day how the right education can shape a girl’s confidence, broaden her horizons and change the course of her life. For some students, that opportunity is only possible because of the generosity of others.

Lydia Zhang (2014) is one of those students. Through a means-tested scholarship, she was able to access an MLC education, discover her passion for town planning and build a career helping shape stronger, more connected communities.

“MLC gave me the confidence and mindset to find my path, even when I didn’t yet know what that would be. Someone believed in me and gave me a chance I would not have had otherwise.

"I want other students to discover their potential and build futures they may not yet imagine," Lydia says. "It gave me access to opportunities that shaped who I am today. It truly changed my life."

Stories like Lydia’s remind us that a scholarship is far more than financial assistance. It gives a girl the chance to grow in confidence, pursue her strengths and imagine a future that may once have felt out of reach.
