The creative activity from the Boarding House for this week is making pop-up cards!

Making a pop-up card is fun and thoughtful way to show someone you care about them on any occasion. They’re also very easy to make with resources you most likely already have at home!

Materials you will need to make your own:

  • 2 pieces of cardstock (or other heavyweight) paper
  • Printer paper to draw or print your card design on
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Your choice of decoration tools (markers, glitter etc)
  • Envelope

Follow along with a tutorial:

  • This tutorial uses easy-to-follow gifs for every step, and even has some fun ideas for cards and pun-based messages you could use to create your card.
  • This pop-up card tutorial site is packed with great ideas. Plus, they're ranked by difficulty so you can aim ambitiously and create a masterpiece, or stick with a simple design.
