At the heart of the Gala is a shared purpose. Alongside the celebration, our community will come together to support MLC's new Physical Education and Sport Precinct, an investment in the learning, wellbeing and opportunities of current and future students.
Keeping girls active matters. Physical activity builds confidence, supports wellbeing and helps establish positive habits that carry into adult life. Yet across Australia, girls continue to participate in sport and physical activity at significantly lower rates than boys. Creating environments where girls feel confident, capable and encouraged to participate has never been more important.
The new Physical Education and Sport Precinct will build on MLC's strong tradition of physical education and sport, providing contemporary, welcoming and inspiring facilities designed to support the needs and aspirations of girls. From recreational activity and physical education to competitive sport and high-performance training, it will give students more opportunities to explore their interests, develop their abilities and discover what they are capable of.
Importantly, the Precinct is about more than sport. It is about helping every girl find her own connection to movement, develop confidence in her abilities and build lifelong habits that support her health and wellbeing.
The 2027 MLC Precinct Gala Ball is an opportunity for our community to celebrate together while contributing to this important investment in girls' education, health and wellbeing.
