Hear from our students and parents
In the Boarding House I find myself being a leader and a recognisable face to the younger girls, which I really enjoy. The culture in the Boarding House really is that we look out for one another, it’s really nice.
Elise, Year 11 Boarder
Our daughter was a shy introvert who was still finding her way in the world. Our experience with MLC is that they do big amazingly well. 'Big' offers diversity of people and a huge amount of choice. With all the opportunities for her, it’s been an absolute joy to watch my daughter grow and develop into a world-ready individual.
Sophie, Year 12 Parent
I was nervous starting Year 7, I'd never been to a school with so many students and such a large campus before. However, the continuing support from my teachers, co-ordinators, and even students in older year levels, was incredible. I think MLC is an amazing school that allows students like me to explore passions in any field, broaden horizons and learn to be yourself.
Audrey, Year 9 Student
It was during my first years at MLC in Year 7 and 8 that I really found a sense of purpose and belonging amongst many likeminded peers. Possibly the biggest part of MLC are the communities that you join and the doors that are opening to you. If I could say just one thing about the school, it’s this: MLC has many opportunities for not only all different types of girls, but to allow us to discover all different aspects of our personalities, to experiment, to explore and to become world ready
Clara, Year 12 Student
MLC was always our number one choice for our daughter. We knew from the reputation of the school that she was going to be in great hands. The Year 9 residential Marshmead program was also a huge motivator for us. There are so many ways for the girls to get involved, whether it's early morning spin classes, lunchtime diving classes, or quiet times spent in the substantial gardens throughout the school. I have no doubt that you will find MLC to be a very open, honest and supportive school for your daughters.
Annette, Year 9 Parent

Recently renovated, with an abundance of natural light, all students have somewhere to go and relax, including the Common Room or the Sun Room; areas equipped with lounges, televisions and kitchenette facilities (and a favourite spot for weekend baking, craft activities, movie nights and boardgames), our internal courtyard garden, the art space, or our in-house gym.

Boarding students are in safe hands: Our senior Boarding House staff are qualified teachers with demonstrated histories of working with young people in residential and boarding school settings, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to your daughter’s schooling and care.

If you've got any questions, go have a look and meet the staff. That was a big part of the decision making for us. That warmth and openness – you get a great feel when you walk inside the Boarding House doors and meet the people who live there.
