In MLC’s unique, purpose-built commercial kitchen facilities, students prepare modern dishes that are consistent with current restaurant trends. The adjoining dining room provides the opportunity for customers to relax and enjoy a beverage of choice with their meal, also prepared and served by the Year 11 and 12 students.


Our VCE VET Hospitality students in Years 11 and 12 run the Terrace Restaurant, with the support of the Home Economics and Hospitality staff. This is a full service training commercial restaurant, offering food and beverage prepared to high quality, industry standards at an affordable rate. Upon completion, students graduate with a Certificate III in Food and Beverage or Commercial Cookery.

We are open to the public and are fully licensed.

Lunch Service:

Available select Thursday lunchtimes during Terms 1, 2 and 3; prepared by Year 12 students.

Thursdays: 12.00 - 2 pm, final orders taken 12.15pm.

Lunch mains only $15.00 and entrees and desserts $10.00. Please be aware that menu structure may change depending on the learning needs of the students. Set menus will be priced at $25 for 2 courses and $35 for 3 courses (coffee included).

'Krome Eats'

Krome Eats cafe returns in 2020.

A quick cafe style lunch service here in MLC's training restaurant. Hosted by the Year 11 Hospitality students, it is a great place to relax, unwind and catch up with friends for a sweet or savoury light meal or snack.

Food and beverages charged separately. Prices for food range from $3.00 - $12.00 per dish. Drinks from $2.50 - $6.00.

Opening hours for each session will be from 12.45 - 1.30pm
