Campus and Facilities
Our Year 7 and 8 students are based in the award-winning Nicholas Learning Centre, newly opened in 2019. The purpose-built centre features flexible-open plan areas, so students can use independent or collaborative learning styles to suit their needs. Based on research design, it assists in an even smoother transition into secondary school, especially for those coming from smaller primary schools.
MLC's remote learning program at MLC Banksia (located on the Banksia Peninsula, Gippsland Lakes, near Paynesville) is designed to engage, excite and enrich while fostering independence, co-operation and a lifelong love of learning. Students spend a week at the campus in both Year 7 and Year 8 with specialised programs.
The transition to secondary school can seem daunting. At this age, MLC understands that girls need special care to help them leap ahead in learning and in life, whatever their interests and talents. Student wellbeing is integral to the learning process and we make it a priority through our renowned wellbeing programs and staff support, so every student finds her place.
