The Humanities offer students a way into seeing and understanding the world: the great events and ideas that have shaped our society and the forces that affect our environment.
Humanities offerings at Methodist Ladies' College include: History, Geography, Religious Education, Australian and Global Politics, Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge allow students to access the knowledge and skills they need to make sense of the world in which they live, and contribute to it in a meaningful and informed way.
The Humanities form part of the core curriculum through Years 7 to 9. In Year 10 all students continue with a study of History and a range of elective offerings from Geography, including, People Power, Planet Ocean and Global Faces and Places all of which lead to a range of VCE and IB offerings.
The MLC community is amazing and everyone is so closely knit. There are so many opportunities, academically and in drama, sport and also leadership. Rui Rui, Year 9 student
