Junior School at Methodist Ladies' College is a stimulating, caring environment for students in Prep to Year 6. Here, students explore the world around them and discover interesting spaces where friendships flourish and personalities develop

Junior School is based around an integrated curriculum that stimulates creativity and curiosity and builds a sound foundation in literacy, numeracy and cognitive skills. Every student from Prep – Year 2 has her own iPad, while students from Year 3 onwards use their own notebook computer. Each learning area incorporates technology in a way that enhances students’ learning and understanding.

Literacy and numeracy are high priority learning areas in Junior School, founded on the belief that the skills and concepts developed during classroom programs underpin learning across the whole curriculum.

MLC Junior School also offers a range of specialist programs – art, physical education and swimming, music, language study (Japanese in Prep to Year 4 and French in Years 5 and 6), library lessons, Religious Education and technology.

2100 students currently attend MLC, from MLC Kindle through to Year 12.
