Applications to enrol your daughter at Methodist Ladies' College can be submitted at any time. We encourage early applications to increase the likelihood of securing a place for your daughter in your preferred year of entry.Applicants with a family connection to the College receive an enrolment advantage,
The acceptance of your application will place your daughter on our applicant list. Please note that this does not secure an enrolled place; places at MLC are offered in order of the date of application.
At the beginning of the year prior to commencement you will be contacted by MLC Admissions to confirm interest in enrolling for the following year. For students entering Prep, Years 5 and 7 we contact families two years prior to commencement.
MLC is an open entry school and the main intake years at MLC are Prep, Year 3, Year 5, Year 7, Year 9 and Year 11.
Other year levels can be applied for and may be waitlisted, or if we have vacancies, we can offer places for entry. We do consider applications for entry in Term 2, 3 or 4 for Prep to Year 10 entry depending on vacancies. Residential Living (Boarding) is also available for students in Years 7-12.
Please note, students entering Prep must be five years of age by 30 April of that year.
Step 1: Complete an online Application for Admission. To complete the form you will need to provide a copy of your daughter’s birth certificate and other documents relevant to your application, along with a registration fee of $100 for one applicant or $150 for a family. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Step 2: Your application will be placed onto our applicant list and you will receive confirmation of this from MLC Admissions.
Step 3: At the beginning of the year prior to entry, you will be contacted to confirm interest in a place at MLC the following year. For students entering Prep, Year 5 and Year 7, we contact families two years prior to commencement.
Step 4: MLC Admissions will ask you to complete an enrolment questionnaire and submit a copy of your daughter’s last school report.
Step 5: We then organise an interview with the Head of School, the prospective student and her parents. Families based interstate or overseas will not be required to attend an enrolment interview prior to an Offer of Enrolment, but will still need to meet the Head of School prior to starting at MLC.
Step 6: After the interview a formal offer may be issued at the discretion of the Head of School, which will ask for acceptance confirmation, return of completed paperwork and payment of the non-refundable enrolment fee by the due date.
Step 7: Once the offer confirmation and enrolment fee has been received, MLC Admissions will send you a letter confirming enrolment.
