The first stage of MLC’s masterplan for the Kew campus is the construction of a new Year 7 and 8 Learning Centre which will be built where the Nicholas Building once stood.
This development, due for completion during 2019, will include 24 configurable learning spaces for Years 7 and 8 home groups, as well as indoor and outdoor learning and recreational spaces, plus the redevelopment of the Principal’s Terrace garden space for the whole College during mid-2018.
This is one of the most significant projects for the College in recent years and unlocks the potential for a series of interconnected facilities, cementing MLC’s position as an innovator in education.
The Year 7 and 8 Learning Centre has been in the planning for several years and the staff and student input into the new building’s interiors, fixtures and finishes has been invaluable in ensuring that will be at the forefront of learning spaces.
These images provide an indication of the look and feel of this incredible new learning spaces and while they are not the final designs they do provide a glimpse of what this future space will look like.
This is indeed an exciting time for MLC….
