We are privileged to enjoy a great musical heritage at MLC. Our music educators are all musicians - from a wide variety of musical streams, and value diversity and the different experiences that our learners bring to us. Our goal is to cater for each learner, at all levels of ability.

Our student musicians explore the essence of sound, and use it for their own creative purpose.  They have the opportunity to make music together - singing or playing instruments. They have the freedom to become discerning listeners and experience cultural diversity through music.

Music is an integral part of the core curriculum in the Junior Secondary School.  In Middle School, students may choose the direction of their musical experiences, and in Senior School, they may then elect to study music as part of the VCE, VCE-VET or IB course.

At all levels, students may elect to take extra-curricular private lessons, and play or sing in one of MLC's many co-curricular ensembles. Music at MLC is exciting, innovative and above all else - fun!
