In Years 11 and 12, Environmental Science students gain an understanding of the structure, function and diversity of natural ecosystems and evaluate the impact of human activities on them. Students study air, life, earth, water and the sun, and how they interact.
Students develop an understanding of the values and attitudes that underpin environmental decisions, and reflect on ways for modifying behaviour of individuals and groups for positive environmental outcomes - to keep our planet alive and safe for generations to come.
The course involves a great number of practical activities and experiments - many of which are conducted on field trips. The best way to study the planet is to go out into the world and learn about it first hand.
