Places at MLC are usually offered in the year prior to entry, except in Prep, Year 5 and Year 7. Students are offered a place on the basis of an interview and a school report (where applicable). Siblings and applicants with a direct family connection to the College are given priority, and consideration is given to date of application when making offers. Boarding House places for Years 8-12 are also offered in the year prior to entry. Students commencing at MLC Kindle must be aged between six weeks and five years, while Prep students must be aged five years by 30 April of the year they start school.

Prep
In Prep, all applicants are sent an enrolment questionnaire eighteen months prior to entry. All applicants must provide the School Entry Immunization Certificate. Prep places are offered on the basis of an interview. 

Year 5
In Year 5, all applicants are sent an enrolment questionnaire eighteen months prior to entry. A copy of the student’s most recent report must accompany the returned questionnaire. Year 5 places are offered on the basis of an interview and the school report.

Year 7
In Year 7, all applicants are sent an enrolment questionnaire two years prior to entry. A copy of the student’s most recent report must accompany the returned questionnaire. Year 7 places are offered and confirmed upon the payment of the enrolment fee. For later applicants, consideration is given to length of time on the waiting list and sisters at the school. Places in the Boarding House are offered two years in advance for Year 7 students.
