MLC is committed to providing a wide range of learning opportunities across all areas of the curriculum and to nurturing individual student's talents and interests. As part of this commitment, the College offers a large number of Academic and Music/Academic Scholarships for students with special talents.

MLC participates in the ACER Co-operative Scholarship Testing Program.  Candidates for all scholarships sit an examination on Saturday, 10 May 2008.  Registration is on-line via the MLC website www.mlc.vic.edu.au and a fee of $90 is payable to ACER.

Parents of students intending to compete for scholarships must apply to all the schools for which their children are to be candidates.  Candidates sit the testing at their first preference school.

Once all scholarships have been finalised, all candidates will be sent a report on the academic testing and the names of the scholarship recipients will be published in The Age and College newsletters.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of the testing, previous school reports and an interview.
