All-Rounder Scholarship

All-Rounder Scholarship

Awarded to students who reflect the MLC values of respect, responsibility and compassion. Applicants will need to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, have an all-round talent in sport (performing at a state or national standard), the performing or creative arts as well as have made a contribution to the broader community. They will need to demonstrate a commitment to engaging and contributing as a member of the MLC community.
 

OPENING DATE: MONDAY, 14 OCTOBER 2019
CLOSING DATE: 5PM WEDNESDAY, 19 FEBRUARY 2020
SCHOLARSHIP TEST DATE: SATURDAY, 29 FEBUARY 2020.


Year of Entry:

Year 7 (Scholarship tenable for 6 years) Year 9 (Scholarship tenable for 4 years)
 

Eligibility:

  • Australian citizens, permanent Australian residents or temporary residents
  • Currently at MLC or attending another school
  • An all-round talent in sport (performing at a state or national standard) or the performing arts
  • Made a contribution to the broader community

 

Documentation to be uploaded with Scholarship Application:

  • Results of the most recent School Report
  • Evaluation of a 200-word statement on why the candidate is applying for this scholarship; This should be written by the student and demonstrate their accomplishments, talents, leadership & reason for wanting to attend MLC.
  • Documents to support the achievements of scholarship application
  • A passport sized photo

 

The applicant will then have:

  • Results of the ACER Scholarship Test
  • Evaluation through Interview. Candidates short-listed for an interview will be contacted by telephone and/or email

 

Value:

  • A percentage of the annual tuition fees and technology levy.
  • This includes computer, technology support and peripherals
  • A percentage of the co-curricular fees relating to such accomplishment

 

Conditions:

  • Scholarship holders are expected to complete their secondary education at MLC.

Boarding All-Rounder Scholarship

Boarding All Rounder

Awarded to students who reflect the MLC values of respect, responsibility and compassion. Applicants will need to demonstrate their concern for the broader community, a wide range of interests and talents, a commitment to academic studies and ability and a commitment to engaging and contributing as a member of the MLC community.
 

OPENING DATE: MONDAY, 14 OCTOBER 2019
CLOSING DATE: FRIDAY, 2 OCTOBER 2020


Year of Entry:

  • Year 7 (Scholarship tenable for 6 years)
  • Year 8 (Scholarship tenable for 5 years)
  • Year 9 (Scholarship tenable for 4 years)
  • Year 10 (Scholarship tenable for 3 years)
  • Year 11 (Scholarship tenable for 2 years)

Eligibility:
 
  • Australian citizens, permanent Australian residents or temporary residents
  • Currently at MLC or attending another school
  • Have previously attended primary or secondary schooling in a regional or remote area (as defined by the Australian Standard Geographical Classification - Remoteness Areas).   • Evaluation through Interview. Candidates short-listed for an interview will be contacted by telephone and/or email

Conditions:
 
  • Scholarship holders are expected to complete their secondary education at MLC.
  • Boarding Scholarships are relinquished where a student changes from a boarding to day student. Refer to the MLC Scholarship Terms & Conditions.
Application Steps

Step 1: Apply for an MLC Scholarship by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
Please complete the Scholarship Application and click submit.

Step 2: Once you have submitted an MLC Scholarship Application you will receive a notification email from Admissions requesting you to register for the ACER Scholarship Test. Please note that the ACER Scholarship Test registration is a compulsory component of the MLC Academic Scholarship Application.
A payment of $115.00 will be required to register for the ACER Scholarship Test.
Follow the instructions provided within the email notification from MLC.

Step 3: Attend the MLC Scholarship Test on Saturday, 29 February 2020.
Details about the Scholarship testing will be sent to registered candidates one week prior to the test.

Step 4: Short-listed candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview time. All other applicants will be contacted via email.
